Hi mom, I'm feeling a lot better today. I get done with classes tomorrow by 11, so I'm gonna chill all day and do homework and nap then practice. Its okay I promise. I know how far I can push myself and I'm willing to push my limit if it means starting. I know you don't want to hear that, but I didn't work this hard and spend all this time to sit the bench.
Last night we watched this very interesting powerpoint/slide show/ presentation by John Underwoodwho is an Olympic trainer and science guy. He tests athletes and stuff, especially on studies with drugs and alcohol. It was sooooo? interesting. I'll have to look up his website and send it to you because I won't be able to explain it to you. I left the presentation saying how interested I was and of coarse the girls made fun of me,(not in a mean way) They were teasing me saying I liked running and boring presentations.
Basically the presentation said that if you get drunk
1 night you lose 14 days of training. If you don't drink during training or season or at all you gain a 4-15% advantage over your opponents, that is if they drink (probably) So, leaving that presentation I was thinking, wow, we should have a dry season, I know I won't drink at all during the season, especially after this presentation. Today at practice coach asked if any body wanted to volunteer to have a dry season, she said we didn?t have to do it as a team, but if you want to do it as an individual, raise your hand. All of my freshmen buddies (_______,______,______,_____ ) and I raised our hands, then _____,_______,_______,___ and maybe another girl also raised their hands.
It was awesome. So we all are committed to a dry season, and I'm really proud of myself and the girls (as in my girls, ______,_______,_______).
